New Zealand media companies NZME and Stuff (formerly Fairfax New Zealand) are taking their merger battle to the High Court on October 16. In May 2017, the New Zealand Commerce Commission denied their merger clearance.
I was talking to the Masters students at Auckland University of Technology (AUT) on October 10, 2017, about the merger process and prospects. It was useful to go back to May 2016 to remind myself and others how merger process has evolved.
